Leave Travel Concession (LTC) is granted to Central Government employees for travel to various parts of the country and home as well. The number of home travel visits allowed are two. This is made available every four years. One of the hometown visits can be substituted with an “All India visit”, if needed.
Well LTC stands for Leave Travel Concession. LTC is a kind of government's service for the government officials. In the broadest way possible, it allows the official to once go to his hometown and once go for a trip to any place in India with his family using Transportation funded by the government.
All eligible Government servants may avail LTC to visit any place in NER/ A&N/J&K against the conversion of one block of their Home Town LTC.
Fresh Recruits are also eligible for this benefit against conversion of one of the three Home Towns in a block of four years applicable to them

NEW DELHI: Central government employees will not get a daily allowance on Leave Travel Concession ( LTC), according to an official order.
Tickets booked under LTC Scheme are refundable. However you will have to pay refund Fee of Rs. 150 per ticket, cancelled at least 1hour prior to the departure.
But if you get the Ticket cancelled less than 1hour prior to the departure, it will be treated as Leave Travel Allowance (LTA) is a type of allowance which is given to an employee from his employer to cover his travel expenses when he is on leave from work.
Sometimes it is also known as Leave Travel Concession (LTC). LTA is exempt from tax u/s 10(5) of Income Tax Act, 1961.
